What motivates you most as a coach?

As a coach, my motivation comes from helping young athletes realize that big dreams require big effort. I believe discipline, consistency, and hard work are what turn goals into achievements, and I want to instill those values in every athlete I work with. Beyond performance, I also want kids to see exercise as a positive outlet—a healthy way to handle stress, anxiety, or life’s challenges. My goal is to show athletes that the gym isn’t just a place to get stronger physically, but also a space to build confidence, resilience, and the mindset needed to succeed both in sports and in life.

What’s your favorite sports memory—either as an athlete or a coach?

My favorite sports memory is when I was about 12, my dad had me playing little league baseball with the boys. I was a pitcher and every game I would at least strike one of the boys out and it was just insanely funny how angry the boys got but also made my team like me more and be more accepting I was a girl on a boys team because they saw the work I put in to be good and help out the team.

How would you describe your coaching philosophy in one sentence?

My coaching philosophy is built on discipline and accountability. I believe that if you cut corners, the only person you truly cheat is yourself. I encourage athletes to hold themselves to a high standard, because growth comes from consistency and honesty in their effort. I also strive to push athletes past their comfort zones—helping them realize that their bodies are often capable of much more than their minds first allow them to believe. By breaking through those mental barriers, athletes not only get stronger physically, but they also develop the resilience and confidence to succeed both in sports and in life.

What do you enjoy most outside the gym—hobby, hometown activity, etc.?

The gym is definitely my most enjoyable thing in life, but other than that I spend a lot of time with my family, sister, and cousins. We dominate at pickleball. I also have a golden retriever named Bentley who I spend a lot of time with! I love to go to the ocean and I am super big into running!

What’s one unique thing about your background or journey that shapes how you coach?

One unique part of my background that shapes me as a coach is my experience as a competitive gymnast. Gymnastics taught me a level of discipline that I believe is unlike any other sport. It also pushed me to face fear head-on, whether it was learning new skills or performing under pressure. That experience helps me connect with athletes today, because I know what it takes to stay disciplined, push through fear, and trust yourself. Those lessons are what I try to pass on to the athletes I coach.
